Electronic platform of Baltic cooperation

 

The Hanseatic Parliament has been supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in the Baltic region, brings together governmental and non-governmental organizations, Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, higher education institutions of the EU countries and represents the interests of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs for 20 years.

 

The Hanseatic Parliament was established in 1994 in Hamburg (Germany). In 2004 it opened a branch in St. Petersburg.

 

The Hanseatic Parliament consists of 45 Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, as well as organizations supporting small businesses of 11 Baltic Sea countries: Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation, Sweden and Belarus. Taken together, they represent the interests of about 450,000 small and medium-sized enterprises.

 

Partners from Belarus take active part in the Hanseatic Parliament work:

- Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

- Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

- Brest branch of the BelCCI

- Gomel branch of the BelCCI

- Mogilev branch of the BelCCI.

 

Brest State Technical University was also involved in project work.

 

Since 2006 the Belarusian partners were involved in the projects of the Hanseatic Parliament with the financial support of INTERREG Baltic Sea Region, the EU program. Projects registered with the Ministry of Economy.

 

• Project 1:      Assessment of the Baltic area entrepreneurship development;

implementation period: from August 2006 to March 2008;

 

• Project 2:      QUICK (Qualification, Innovation, Cooperation and Key business);

implementation period: from December 2009 to December 2012;

 

• Project 3:      QUICK IGA (Development of female entrepreneurship and integration of elderly people in small and medium-sized enterprises);

implementation period: from December 2012 to March 2014.

 

These projects are designed by the Hanseatic Parliament to support small and medium-sized enterprises, Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts ensuring their development, and also to provide an effective tool for sustainable social and economic development of the Baltic region.

 

The most important achievement of the project activity for Minsk Branch of the BelCCI is the opportunity to meet new European organizations, their activities and culture, the ability to adopt and apply their best experience in its work, mutually beneficial cooperation of all partners of the project aimed at the development of small and medium businesses of the Baltic region. All these aspects will actively develop and expand in the future, and efficient work of Minsk Branch of the BelCCI in creation of a favorable image of the Republic of Belarus in the Baltic region and among the partners involved in the project will continue.

 

Electronic support tool for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Baltic region is the website of the Hanseatic Parliament ‘Baltic Cooperation: www.baltic-cooperation.eu (Baltic cooperation). The idea of this forum is to create a common online platform for all project participants as well as small and medium-sized enterprises of the Baltic region. On this webpage businessmen can post information about their companies, search for partners and particular cooperation proposals, request information about the countries of the Baltic region, financial support and etc free of charge. Information on this website is available in four languages: English, German, Polish and Russian
