Visit of Pakistani businessmen to Minsk, on April 4-10, 2021

On April 4-10, 2021 the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a delegation of the business community of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The delegation headed by Walid Mushtaq, Honorary Consul in Lahore (Punjab Province, Islamic Republic of Pakistan), included the CEOs of Pakistani companies.

The visit schedule included meetings with Vladimir Ulakhovich, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nikolai Borisevich, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmitry Kharitonchik, Deputy Minister of Industry, as well as business negotiations during the visits to the higher educational institutions of the country and major industrial enterprises of Minsk and Brest.

The business meetings focused on interactions and activities to promote cooperation between the business communities of Belarus and Pakistan in mechanical engineering, education, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, tourism, and the hospitality industry; assist the Belarusian party in establishing an assembly facility of tractors in Pakistan. Opportunities in education and science were presented and issues of training of Pakistani citizens in the first stage of higher education (bachelor's degree) in English at the higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus, including distance learning on a paid basis, were discussed.
