Videoconference “6 first steps to start business with China” on May 26, 2020

The Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held the videoconference “6 first steps to start business with China” on May 26, 2020.

In the videoconference there took part: Tatyana Dubova - Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Activity of the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Andrey Andreev - Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Shanghai (PRC); Mr. Sheng Guofei - Director, Investment Promotion Department, China Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products; Mr. Fengzhi Guo - BelCCI representative in China; Georgy Barkovsky - Director of the BelCCI member company Vostok Progress Service; representatives of the departments of foreign economic and international activity of the economy committees of the Minsk city executive committee and the Minsk regional executive committee; BelCCI member enterprises. In total, 45 people attended the videoconference.

In the framework of the videoconference the following issues were discussed:

China as a strategic direction of Belarusian exports - is it worth entering the Chinese market with its own products and how best to do it; correct formation of a commercial proposal/performance specifications/investment project for working with China; ways to find Chinese partners; ways to verify the integrity of Chinese enterprises; some aspects of contractual relations with Chinese counterparties; choosing the best way to deliver goods to/from China.

The videoconference participants got acquainted with the structure of mutual trade between the two countries, the capabilities of the Minsk Branch of the BelCCI and the Institute of BelCCI Representatives in expanding foreign economic relations of Belarusian enterprises, finding new partners in China, discussed current issues on the topics under discussion.
