Belarusian-Czech Business Forum and B2B in Minsk, October 29, 2019


On October 29, 2019, within the framework of the official visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Martin Tlapa to the Republic of Belarus, the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Czech Republic for the CIS countries, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Belarus held the Belarusian-Czech Business Forum and B2B with representatives of enterprises of the Czech Republic.


The event was opened by Sergei Nabeshko, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


Welcoming speeches were delivered by:

Yevgeny Shestakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and Co-Chairman of the Belarusian-Czech Mixed Commission;

Martin Tlapa, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic;

František Masopust, Chairman of the Board of CCI for CIS countries;

Alexander Fedorchuk, the Director General of the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


The opening of the business forum was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Czech Republic Mr.Valeriy Kurdukov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Belarus Mr.Tomas Pernicki.


More than 40 Belarusian participants took part in the contact and cooperation exchange with 7 Czech entrepreneurs.


B2B participants held negotiations in the following areas: construction in industry, energy; processing of construction debris; deliveries pipeline systems; integrated financial services related to external trade and investment; insurance.


The sides discussed possible prospects for cooperation, exchanged proposals on potential cooperation, discussed joint projects.


On the same day, the Czech delegation was received in the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus.
