Belarusian parliamentary delegation in Sri Lanka on a visit

The parliamentary delegation was comprised by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to India with concurrent accreditation to Sri Lanka Vitaly Prima, Deputy Industry Minister Gennady Svidersky, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov, Director General of the Minsk Tractor Plant Fyodor Domotenko, representatives of MAZ and Belshina Trading House.


In the framework of the visit a business forum and a business matchmaking session between Belarus and Sri Lankan entrepreneurs was held at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The event was attended by the Spokesman of the Belarusian Parliament.


The Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov addressed the forum with a presentations of the Republic of Belarus, its economic, export and investment potential. Moreover presentations of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Belarus and Sri Lankan companies - participants of the forum were held as well.


The memorandum of understanding between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce as well as the agreement on the establishment of joint assembly plant between Minsk Tractor Works JSC and the Sri Lankan company Hiten Holdings Private LLC were signed.

In the course of the business matchmaking session between Belarus and Sri Lankan entrepreneurs an agreement on further cooperation in various fields was reached.


Belarusian parliamentary delegation headed by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko held an official visit to Sri Lanka.


Among the delegation members were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (with concurrent accreditation) Vitaly Prima, the Deputy Minister of Industry Gennady Svidersky, the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov, the Director General of the Minsk Tractor Works JSC Fedor Domotenko, the representatives of MAZ JSC and Belshina JSC.


In the framework of the meeting the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce organized a Belarusian-Sri Lankan Business Forum and a B2B meeting between the Belarusian and Sri Lankan businessmen, attended by the spokesman of the Belarusian parliament.
