On May 12, 2014, the opening of the Belarusian-Czech business forum was held

During the visit of Czech businessmen to the Republic of Belarus (from May 9 to May13, 2014) on May 12, 2014, the opening of Belarusian-Czech business forum in the conference hall of the BelCCI was held. This event took place with the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Belarus Milan Eckert, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in the Czech Republic Vasily Mikhailovich Markovich, Deputy Minister of Industry and trade of the Czech Republic Irzhi Koliba, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Evgenyevich Guryanov, Executive Director of the Czech Chamber of Trade and Industry for the CIS countries Frantishek Masopust, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Evgenyevich Ulakhovich and Director General of Minsk department of the BelCCI Alexander Alekseyevich Fedorchuk.

After the opening event the business matchmaking session between Czech and Belarusian enterprises was held. The Belarusian party in the negotiations involved 50 companies, the Czech party – 17 companies.

The talks were held with the Czech representatives in the following areas: production lines for galvanizing surface manufacturing, oil refining, chemical and food-processing industries; manufacturing of power converters, pumping equipment and hydraulic motors; construction and agriculture, etc.

The representatives of Czech companies showed a keen interest in joint projects investment and contracting.
